Through fully funded training we provide regulated and bespoke courses in Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) and Skills Support for Redundancy (SSR). These courses support your business by developing and honing the skills of current employees, adding value for both you and your employee.
SSW is aimed at SME businesses which employ up to 250 staff. The qualifications completed are NVQ Certificated or Diplomas. This enables the content to be designed to support the growth of the individual whilst mirroring the business needs.
Our aim, when working with a new business, is to always think in the long-term and to create a partnership. This could lead to us being an extension to your Learning and Development team, or simply returning at a later time, supporting the continuous professional development of your staff stepping into new roles and your recent recruits.
We also find that many existing learners are interested in continuing their development. This can be through further SSW training, by progressing to a higher level, or moving onto an Apprenticeship. Even if you don’t pay into the Apprenticeship Levy, Siamo Training will support your business to secure funding and allow learners to progress.
The key disciplines SSW fully funded training covers:
- Leadership and Management NVQ Level 2 Diploma
- Customer Service NVQ Level 2 Diploma
- Warehousing and Storage NVQ Level 2 Certificate
- PMO NVQ Level 2 Diploma
- BIT (Business Improvement Techniques) Level 2 Diploma
- Digital Skills Level 2 Diploma
On completing a consultation, we can also deliver a mixture of the above content to create a training package that is bespoke to your business.
How do I find out if my business qualifies?
After making contact we will set up a meeting to discuss how Siamo Training will support your business. Within this discussion, we complete the necessary paperwork to understand your needs and also the qualifying criteria. This is quick and simple allowing for a swift turnaround and the training journey to begin.
How is the training delivered?
95% of the training can be completely remotely, via TEAMs, and in some cases 100%. Due to unprecedented times Siamo Training invested heavily in developing courses that allow our trainers to deliver high level content without being present at your site.
The results have been outstanding and feedback is that with us delivering more 1-2-1 sessions the learner has more of a personal experience, resulting in further engagement and quick completion.

What are your experiences?
We have trained over 4800 employees since starting our provision of SSW qualifications with over 70% progressing into higher learning, pay rises, more responsibility, apprenticeships and promotions. These cover a mixture of disciplines including Logistics, Manufacturing, Call Centre, Hospitality, Retail and more.
The SSW funding is employer-led and very flexible. It can be regulated up to a full level 2 or made bespoke to suit specific business needs, up to level 4. The types of learning we have been delivering include:
SSR (Skills Support for Redundancy)
We also deliver SSR (Skills Support for Redundancy) offering guidance to staff in threat of redundancy. This is covered with intense course delivery focusing on Employability Skills, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Management processes. This sees us supporting staff with new skills as well as refreshing key skills. Part of our bespoke service includes site tours to local businesses, job fairs and interview techniques to support job applications so the learner is fully prepared for the process they are facing.
Whilst on programme 91% of staff have progressed into employment with an additional 34% progressing into education, meaning they continue with further development.
*Our prime for this funding is Serco and is ESF and ESFA funded.
