We’ve recently celebrated another group of high-achievers – with a group of 17 learners completing their Apprenticeship qualifications at the end of last year.
Siamo Training and Neovia Logistics held a joint celebration event to congratulate all those completing apprenticeships. The event was held to acknowledge and celebrate the group’s achievements – all made Covid-safe of course.
The recognition event was held in the site’s large canteen, and outside of meal times, to allow all staff to spread out appropriately. Certificates were placed on individual desks to collect and one of the team’s Operations Managers came to say a few words of celebration to the group. A lovely way to acknowledge the achievements of each learner, in difficult times.
The success of this team of learners is something we are really proud of:
- Out of the 17 that completed their apprenticeships, 15 remain working at Neovia.
- Out of 15, 12 have been made permanent with Neoviaduring their apprenticeship journey. An 80% conversion!
- All learners achieved their Level 2 Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) apprenticeship. This included a Level 2 NVQ In BIT and a Level 2 Certificate in BIT, as well as for some their English and Maths qualifications at level 1 or 2.
It was undoubtedly challenging for these learners, completing their course during this time, but their achievements really show in their continuing success.
Melissa Hope, Head of Apprenticeships, said ‘I am extremely proud of all of our learners at Neovia Logistics who worked so hard to achieve their apprenticeship in Business Improvement Techniques. They came up with lots of improvement ideas, some of which are projects that are still in place, and continuing, which is great for other individuals and Neovia. As well as the qualifications achieved, the learners grew in confidence in putting forward ideas and improvement strategies which embellishes the work that Neovia already do around their ethos of continuous improvement. Many learners progressed in work during this time and I congratulate every one of them.’
