For International Women’s Day this year, our focus is on women who are actively involved in the Logistics and Supply Chain industries, aligning with the overarching theme of inspiring inclusion.
As a business that provides recruitment predominantly in the logistics and manufacturing sectors, we want to celebrate the contributions of women in these industries as they can often be perceived as male dominated.
‘Gartner’s eighth annual Women in Supply Chain Survey was conducted from February to March of 2023 and surveyed 225 supply chain leaders. The survey showed that women now make up 41% of the supply chain workforce, up from 39% in 2022. However, frontline representation continues to lag, with women filling just 31% of these roles.’
In line with the theme of inspiring inclusivity, we are proud to play a role in encouraging more women to pursue careers in these sectors, which overtime will help increase these stats.
International Women’s Day is a reminder of the ongoing fight for gender inclusivity and the importance of continuing to push for progress in all areas of society, including the workplace.
We have gathered testimonials from our staff, frontline workers, and partners to highlight their experiences of working in and playing a role in the logistics and supply chain sector. Here’s what they think about working in the logistics space.
