Draft figures for 2016 show that the Siamo Group supplied 900,000 shifts – a record number of temps for both industrial as well as commercial placements. The result for the year was augmented by a full year of placing candidates in permanent roles as well as the start of the group’s training division.
Turnover grew 18%, giving a total for the year of over £70m but profits were hit by the removal of travel and subsistence schemes. Stewart Rogers, Siamo Group Chairman said, ‘We were very much aware of the legislative changes and took proactive steps, well in advance, to reduce the group’s reliance on such schemes. As a consequence the group invested heavily in additional, senior staff and a new training division. The group is now in a very strong position for profitable growth in 2017.’
