Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety officer to join our dynamic warehouse operations team (DA1 5PZ). You’ll play a key role in providing exceptional customer service for our allocated key accounts. Salary:
£14.25 per hour – Weekly paid
Working hours:
Monday to Friday -08:30-17:30 with 1 hour lunch (unpaid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Health, Safety and environmental best practices
- Work proactively with management to establish and maintain safe systems of work and a safe environment for all members of staff
- Establish and maintain standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all elements of HSE remain compliant
- Ensure that all HSE policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated to all staff across the Warehouse
- Review accident, incidents and near miss, ensuring that all are investigated, and any recommended improvements are implemented
- Prepare reports using statistical and other analytical tools for the Health and Safety awareness and improvements
- Compile safety data and provide management reports on the safety activities and results accomplished by the warehouse
- Carry out regular safety inspections, drills, training and regular Health and Safety meetings
- Train staff on relevant Health & Safety procedures to their role and ensure that all employees received the correct training and conduct regular refreshers
- Advised staff warehouse members about improvements that should be implemented to reduce risk.
