Peter started his journey as an Order Picker with his current employer, he was keen to progress his skills and knowledge to further his career.
Peter said: “I started actively looking into personal development when I have started working as an order picker. I have developed my mind-set, my goal-setting ability, my time-management… and slowly started progressing my career to a higher level. Of course, this would not be possible without my development plan provided by my line managers and the company directors.”
Working with the Siamo Training team on an apprenticeship program, Peter first needed to enhance some basic language skills and completed an English course and a functional skills qualification at level 2.
“With my English improved I have attended and successfully completed a number of other courses such as First aid, management course, SEMA racking inspection course, HASCP risk assessment course and fire marshal course. All these courses have been provided by the company which has helped me with my development plan.
I also had to develop my communication, leadership and management skills, again thanks to the company I have completed an apprenticeship program in leadership and management L3.” Peter Musinsky.
So, what’s next for Peter? Well, he has started his Level 5 Management course and has aspirations to progress into Senior Management and we’re sure it won’t be long until he is leading a team and encouraging others to improve their skills.
