The return of Siamo Group’s annual Comms Day gave all our teams a long-overdue excuse to meet up and enjoy themselves. The event includes business updates, team building and bonding, a chance to celebrate group and individual successes throughout the year and most of all, a chance to meet up, catch up, and have some fun all together as a team.
Our first chance at bringing back this event also saw the return of our annual employee awards! With so much hard work happening across the business it was a tough decision process, however after much deliberation the five recipients were chosen. Each winner contributes an enormous amount to our success as a business and the service we supply to our clients. We’d like to introduce you to our latest Siamo award winners:
Kelly Yardley – MD’S SPECIAL AWARD
Kelly Yardley, alongside teammate and fellow winner Jodie, originally TUPE’d over to us in 2018. Always an extremely valued member of staff, Kelly showed us her dedication once again during Covid – working all the way through and supporting the growth of our client’s site to 600 temps a day as their sales soared by 43%.
Kelly demonstrates her varied skill set daily, often with great client feedback including from the Regional Director! Kelly has also drawn on her vast knowledge of our client to assist them with the systems implementation at their new site, helping us to achieve a seamless experience across our portfolio of sites for this client.
Jodie Draper – OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Jodie Draper, alongside her teammate Kelly, worked extremely hard throughout the Covid pandemic – working all the way through without any absence.
Jodie’s core skills and accomplishments include regularly switching from day to night shifts to ensure the best team support and supervisor training, assisting Kelly Yardley with systems implementation at our client’s new site, and showing great leadership resulting in the delivery of a consistently excellent service. Jodie’s flexibility and dedication allows our team to provide the best service to our workers, and in turn, our client.
Debby Clayton – BEST NEWCOMER
Debby joined the business in 2021 as manager of our Coventry high street branch. Debby immediately began building her team, developing new accounts and ensuring key customer relationships were maintained. As well as achieving this, Debby was also able to deliver valuable support to various managed service accounts in her region.
As a reward for her team’s hard work, Debby quietly treated them for all their hard efforts during peak, at her own cost, to an all-expenses paid trip to London. Debby didn’t seek recognition, she just wanted to do it, showing an exceptional dedication to growing and supporting an enthusiastic team that feel motivated and engaged.
Debby continues to be a leading force in delivering great service to all her region’s long standing, and new, clients.
Antonia Christian – TRAINER OF THE YEAR
Antonia has been working for Siamo Training for over four years and consistently gets high results and outstanding feedback from her learners. Many of Antonia’s learners voted for her to win this award, and here is just one example why:
‘Antonia has been key to my success and progression, not only in my Level 5 course, but also in my understanding and resolution of a variety of queries, due to the exposure and guidance she has provided me with. She is extremely understanding, aware that my scenario at times can be different to other learners, and has worked with me to develop plans and time to ensure I am overachieving on my course. Antonia recognises my strengths and character and works with me to improve on other areas. For her time, support, and guidance, I am extremely grateful.’
Adela Pinczes – INTERNAL LEARNER OF THE YEAR
Adela worked consistently hard throughout her Recruitment Resourcer Level 2 apprenticeship, gaining a distinction in her EPA, and then progressing immediately onto the Digital Marketing Level 3 apprenticeship.
Alongside Adela’s dedication to learning she also remained a valuable member of her team, consistently delivering great results even during the busiest times of year, which led to a well-deserved promotion.
Adela is a true example of how training, development and commitment can support career progression.
