This Summer several fit members of Templine staff and their families took part in a sponsored walk up Sca Fell Pikes, the highest mountain in England. The aim of the walk was to raise money for the Type One Mission (TOM) charity – set-up by Tony Bucciero in memory of his son Tom, who suffered with diabetes from birth.
Jan Kovac, chief organiser said, “The day was a fantastic success. Not only did we raise money for TOM but everyone had a lot of fun – even those with blisters.” [Yikes! Blisters are fun?]
After Snowdon last year, Sca Fell this it wouldn’t take a lot of imagination to see the ‘fun-loving’ Jan heading north to Scotland’s Ben Nevis. Maybe next year if blisters don’t get him then the midges might!
