This PPE recycling initiative was originally developed and presented by our team to the client, and it has since evolved into a collaborative effort. By working together, we’ve created a practical and effective way to give used protective equipment a second life.
The scheme focuses on collecting a range of PPE items, including boots, high-visibility clothing, and disposable gowns. Rather than being discarded, these materials are gathered and passed on for recycling.
Collection typically takes place during routine locker audits, when lockers need to be emptied, or when team members are issued with replacement PPE. This ensures the process is simple, efficient, and naturally integrated into existing site operations, without the need for additional targets or disruption.
While the initiative began at one site, it reflects a broader commitment across Siamo Group to embed sustainability into everyday practices. It also demonstrates how small, practical steps, especially when shared between partners, can lead to meaningful change.
